HealthSureHealthSure is one of the UK's leading providers of health care cash plans. The company was formed in 1999 from the merger of the Manchester and Salford Hospital Saturday Fund, the Hospitals Guild of Northampton and Anglia HealthCare in Norwich. Benefits available depend on the premium paid and are not age related.

For some types of healthcare, e.g. Dental and Optical, you can claim cash back for the full cost of each course of treatment. Claims can be made until you have reached the maximum amount you are allowed within the stated time period for each of the benefits - 12 months for dental, 24 months for Optical. Six levels of cover are available after a qualifying period of 26 weeks.

BupaBUPA is the most recognised provider of private healthcare. The company offers a plan that provides cash refunds on 23 different benefits including dental, optical, physiotherapy, chiropody, consultations, hospital stays and personal accident cover. Three levels of individual cover are available along with five levels of family cover. There is a waiting period of three months during which a claim cannot be made. No medical examination is required.

 

Westfield Health logo Westfield Health was founded in 1919 and is a non-profit making organization. Working hand in hand with the National Health Service, Westfield makes donations every year to the NHS and medically related charities. Five levels of benefit are available and the full cost of some of the benefits are payable over 1 or 2 years, up to the specified maximum amount. There is a waiting period of three or six months depending upon the premium chosen.
