Private Dental Insurance plans are becoming increasingly popular in the UK, with more and more dentists offering private treatment only. Patients are now paying the cost of dental treatment, with no support from the NHS, and are therefore seeking cheap dental insurance/dental plan cover from a dental health insurance company

Whilst many of our clients are beginning to look for a cheap dental insurance policy when they obtain a dental insurance quote, they recognise the importance of searching for a dental insurance company that will offer the best private dental insurance plan to suit them. An appropriate individual personal dental insurance plan/policy helps to control the cost of their treatment and ensures that their teeth and gums are kept in good condition.

The search for the best dental insurance/dental plan is complicated by the fact that benefits vary from one private dental insurance company to another. A basic affordable dental plan will cover emergency and non-emergency treatment, but not regular checkups. Others will refund a percentage of the cost of general dental treatment, including routine dental, or will pay up to a maximum amount for specified treatment. Dental care insurance plans usually have a waiting period between the date you join and when a claim can be made. This is usually 90 days, or, only after a certificate of dental health has been completed by your dentist. (This requires private dental insurance plan holders to undergo all necessary treatment, to achieve full dental health prior to commencement all over). Some dental care insurance plans have a shorter waiting period for dental emergencies.
